OU Announces Campus Award Recipients for Spring 2024

NORMAN, OKLA. – More than 100 University of Oklahoma students have been selected as Spring 2024 Campus Awards recipients. The students were acknowledged for their exceptional achievements in scholarship, honors, awards, leadership and service in and outside the classroom. Recipients were honored by fellow students, parents, family, special guests, the Board of Regents and OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. 

The awards given include the following: 

PE-ET is an honor society with a long-standing tradition (since 1910), designed to recognize the ten outstanding seniors at the University of Oklahoma. 

The Campus Life Award is presented to 30 juniors and seniors who have excelled in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership and service to the university community. 

The George Henderson Jr. award recognizes a student who has made a positive impact in our community. 

The Fern L. Holland award, sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and Delta Gamma Fraternity, is presented to an undergraduate woman with a desire to make a difference in the world. 

The President’s Award for Outstanding Transfer Students is the highest honor bestowed to transfer students by the university community. 

The President’s Award for Outstanding Volunteers is the highest honor bestowed to student volunteers by the university community. 

The President’s Award for Outstanding Freshmen is the highest honor bestowed to first-year students by the university community. 

The President’s Award for Outstanding Sophomores is the highest honor bestowed to sophomores by the university community. 

The Regents’ Award for Outstanding Juniors is the highest honor bestowed to juniors by the university community. 

The Letzeiser Honor Lists and Medalists are awarded based on leadership, scholarship and service to the university.

OU to Celebrate the Class of 2024

The University of Oklahoma will honor the achievements of the Class of 2024 during individual Commencement ceremonies, scheduled to begin Thursday, May 7 at Lloyd Noble Center, 2900 S. Jenkins Ave. A time-honored tradition filled with pageantry, graduates and guests will be welcomed by bagpipers and color guards at each ceremony.

OU Students Honored For Achieving Perfect Grade-point Average

One hundred and fifty-four University of Oklahoma undergraduate students eligible to graduate in May maintained a perfect 4.0 grade-point average throughout their academic careers at OU. Of the total, 72 reside in Oklahoma.
