Looking for support? Reach out if you need help.

In our world of immediate information and harried communications, there are a lot of stressors affecting each of us every day. Many are deeply impacted by world events, whether through family or cultural connections or simply having a heart for suffering taking place around the globe. It can be very difficult to watch and experience. The holidays can bring hope and harmony to many, but can also be another source of stress.

The University of Oklahoma is deeply invested in the well-being of all students, faculty and staff. We recognize what a difficult time of year this can be for many, and resources are available if you are looking for support.

While we all work hard to achieve our academic and professional goals each day, ultimately the most important thing is each other. Begin by offering yourself patience and grace as you navigate difficulties, and do not hesitate to reach out for help when you need it. Outlined below are resources available for students and employees.

Students

Norman Campus: Counseling services are available for students through the University Counseling Center. For more information about services or to schedule an appointment, call (405) 325-2911 or visit the counseling center’s website.

Health Sciences: Students in need of assistance should contact HSC Student Counseling Services to schedule an appointment. HSC Student Affairs works diligently to provide comprehensive support to our students, including through offering counseling services for those who may experience emotional distress.
