As part of the college’s clinical education, patients receive high-quality comprehensive dental care from dental and dental hygiene students under the supervision of highly trained dental faculty. The cost of care in the student comprehensive care clinics are, on average, one-third the cost of the fees charged at a private dental practice.
Last year, the OU College of Dentistry expanded its operations to include a student comprehensive dental care clinic on the OU-Tulsa campus. This was one of many planned areas of growth for the College of Dentistry.
“The OU College of Dentistry is pleased to welcome Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell to our school and our campus,” said Paul M. Mullasseril, D.D.S., M.S., dean of the college. “One of our primary goals at the College of Dentistry is to make oral healthcare more accessible and more affordable for the people of Oklahoma. One way to do accomplish that objective is by ensuring academics, state leaders, and the dental profession work together overcome common barriers to care.”
