CEES Accelerated BS/MS Program
The accelerated BS/MS program is offered to qualified undergraduate students in the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science who wish to pursue their graduate education while completing their undergraduate degree requirements. Students accepted into the accelerated BS/MS program can use up to nine credit hours to simultaneously satisfy the requirements of both the BS and MS degrees. A list of common 'shared graduate coursework' is provided below.
Accepted students can also take up to seven credit hours of additional graduate coursework not applied to the BS degree. A list of common 'additional graduate coursework' is below as well. With proper planning in the final year, students can initiate thesis or non-thesis research in their senior undergraduate year and complete the MS degree in one additional year beyond their BS degree. Architectural Engineering majors will receive a BS in Architectural Engineering and MS in Civil Engineering through this program.
Lastly, there is a list of 4000G courses below which qualify for graduate credit.
Students interested in pursuing the accelerated BS/MS program are encouraged to review the degree appropriate application below. It is suggested that the application process be completed by the junior year. All applications are requierd to be submitted within the first two weeks of the Fall or Spring Semester only. There is no Summer Semester admission.
