"I cannot overstate how valuable my time at the University of Oklahoma was. I grew tremendously not only personally, but OU gave me the stepping stones to succeed and make one of my dreams happen professionally – working in fashion public relations. "For me, it was always OU. I knew I wanted to major in journalism, so I set my sights on OU at an early age and never looked back. Looking back on my time at OU, I credit most of my success to the experience I got on campus at OU's Student Media. The time I spent there shaped me into a better writer, and gave me all the applicable skills I needed to go out and land my first internship at a non-OU publication. From there, I just worked my way up."

"Earning my degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma has provided me with the life and leadership skills I needed to succeed after college in addition to opening doors to new opportunities. I was recruited directly from campus to work as a Facilities Engineer at SandRidge Energy in Oklahoma City, which is a great experience. "OU and the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication landed me where I am today. Whether it was the experience I gained with OU Nightly and Sooners Sports Pad, or helping me land internships in Dallas, TX and Oklahoma City, what I learned while I was there was invaluable. The professors and professionals that work within the college are some of the best in the business, and if I did not go to OU, I would not be working in the 88th biggest market in the United States straight out of college. I will always look back on my time at OU and know that I would not be the person I am today without the help and guidance of Gaylord College."
