Yes, double majors and minors are a great option for students who want to add range or additional specialization to their degree or for those who wish to study complementary fields. UWC students may double major and add on minors with no added cost as long as they are completed within the four year time frame of the OU UWC scholarship. Before making a final decision, it is always best to consult with our UWC Scholars Program staff.

Although double majors and minors are possible, it is important to note that for some programs it would be difficult to add a second major. For example, the engineering programs have demanding curriculums so it is difficult to fit in the course requirements for another major. A minor might be more feasible if you are set on including another field of study.

Usually it is easiest to double major within the same college, for example, Finance and International Business; or if they are complementary, like International Studies and Spanish. There are 170 majors to choose from at OU and over 100 minors, so there is a wealth of choices and options to personalize your degree at OU. Find in-depth information on all of OU’s degree programs.
