Approved Native English Speaking Countries

The University of Oklahoma defines a first language speaker of English as someone who has citizenship and education in countries listed below. Such individuals DO NOT need to demonstrate English proficiency to be admitted to OU.

 

Citizens of the countries on the list below use English pervasively as a lingua franca throughout the country and experience English as their medium of instruction at all educational levels.
