Women in Engineering Week

WiE Week Logo

Women in Engineering Week activities are dedicated to celebrating the advancement and achievement of women in engineering and sciences at OU. Students build community, empower and support female students to persist in their chosen engineering and science fields. Our events center around five main pillars: education of gender-based issues and challenges, community service, professional development, K-12 outreach and mentorship.  The week concludes with a banquet featuring a keynote speaker, words of encouragement from our corporate supports, and awards honoring outstanding students, faculty and staff.

ALL WEEK

Supply Drive
Our WiE Program has determined a need to provide basic necessities for our students. Many come to us and do not have the financial means to afford everyday necessities, to include feminine products, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, body wash/soap, deodorant, toothbrushes/toothpaste, etc. Additionally, non-perishable snack items are also needed for our office to have on hand, as many students come by hungry. We will place collection boxes in each School’s office during the week and appreciate any and all donations.
