Halliburton Women in Engineering Retreat
The mission of the Halliburton Women in Engineering Retreat is to create an environment for our women engineering students to empower one another, take time for self-exploration, and reflection for personal growth and an enriching, meaning-making experience.

Friday - Saturday, January 19-20, 2018
The Halliburton Women in Engineering Retreat provides an adventure off campus for women in engineering students to renew, refresh and empower one another. The participants will discuss gender-relevant issues, build connections to create more support networks, connect with Halliburton engineers and encourage opportunities for personal growth. The retreat includes group discussions, journaling and break-out faculty mentor groups to allow each participant to grow as a leader, an individual and as a member of a community.
Open to both Gallogly and Mewbourne students, will be held at the Chickasaw Retreat and Conference Center in Sulphur, Okla. on Friday-Saturday, January 19-20, 2018. We will depart from the NE corner of the Lloyd Noble Center in OU vans on Friday morning and head back to Norman on Saturday afteroon. Specific times TBD.
Sign-up for our women students is first-come, first-serve until we reach our 40-person limit, but we will be allotting 20 spots to upperclassmen (Sophomores, juniors and seniors) and 20 to first-year students (freshmen or transfer) to attend.
DEADLINE: Please complete the registration no later than Friday, November 17. Registration will remain open until all spots are filled. We will keep alternates in mind in case someone cancels.
DEPOSIT REQUIRED: You must deliver a $30 deposit to REPF 242 (Slide under door in envelope with name on it if no one is in) in order to secure your spot. This can be cash, or a check made out to "University of Oklahoma" or "OU." Since it is a deposit, as long as you show up for the retreat, you will get your money back. If you do not, it will be deposited.
CANCELLATION POLICY: If for some reason you must cancel after the sign-up deadline, a written statement (email to email@example.com will suffice) of why you cannot make it is required. All cancellations must be received by Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
NOTE: The rooms are double rooms, so those attending will be assigned to a room with another student for the one-night stay.
