Dean's Welcome

Welcome to a new year with the promise of new possibilities! Nowhere is that more true than here on the OU Engineering campus. With Gallogly Hall only months from completion, faculty members continued inspiration of young minds and a staff that serves our students wholeheartedly, we continue the important work of providing the best engineering education in the state.

With a new year also comes new ways of doing things, while continuing to steward our resources wisely. Take this magazine for example. This new digital format, developed by OU Web Communications, uses an existing content management system to efficiently provide you with the latest news happening in the Gallogly College.

DGS Nominations

The OU Gallogly College of Engineering and its Board of Visitors initiated the Distinguished Graduates Society in 1990 to recognize and honor distinguished alumni for their professional accomplishments, public service and contributions to education and the college. Sowing Seeds of Excellence

Doug and Hilda Bourne

Douglas (B.S. in Chemical Engineering, 1943) and Hilda Bourne celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary February 28, 2018 in their home town of Houston. Development staff were on hand to deliver their Seed Sower statue and to celebrate their commitment to OU and each other.

The Seed Sower Society honors individual donors or University-affiliated foundations whose cumulative gifts to OU total $1 million or more. All Seed Sower members receive a specailly made Seed Sower statue created by noted sculptor and OU artist-in-residence Paul Moore.

Gallogly Hall

Progress on Gallogly Hall continues at a pace consistent with its projected opening date of Fall 2019. We invite you to view the time-lapse video and learn more about our newest addition to the engineering quad.
