Our student enrollment continues to grow; we currently have more than 860 undergraduate students and 105 graduate students. Last year, 148 students graduated with a BS degree from Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering.
Our graduates have been hired by Boeing, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Northrop Grumman, Pratt & Whitney, Textron Aviation, and Valero, among others. Our student competition teams continue to excel and provide valuable practical experience.
The Aerospace Propulsion Outreach Program team finished 2nd, the Design, Build and Fly team finished 17th, the Sooner Rover Team finished 19th, and the Sooner Off-Road Team finished 28th at annual competitions featuring schools from across the country.
Several AME faculty members are leading research projects sponsored by the Air Force, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and the National Science Foundation. One of our faculty members received the NSF CAREER award in January.
All of these accomplishments would not have been possible without your generosity and support. Your donations help us provide scholarships to our students and funds to our student competition teams, upgrade our facilities, and enable us to provide an enriching educational experience for our students. - Kumar
