Infrastructure: it's an important concept in engineering. At the GCoE, we have the infrastructure in place to help you succeed and to get you the support you need. Make sure you take advantage of the infrastructure available to you.
Whether you are a prospective or first-time student, or a continuing or graduating student, the Williams Student Services Center serves as the “hub” for connecting with others, receiving guidance, and finding answers to your questions. Our staff provides consistent, high-quality assistance, advising, mentorship, coaching, and support as you work to attain your academic and personal goals.
The initiative to achieve starts with you, and we stand by willing and eager to help you turn your initiative into reality. Therefore, we hope you will take advantage of the services we have to offer as soon and often as you need them. We want to help you graduate SOONER!
We are devoted to providing academic support to students to promote academic excellence in engineering. All students, regardless of class level, are encouraged to participate in tutoring services. Tutoring for math and engineering courses are available on a scheduled or individual basis.
Download the schedule on the tutoring page, or contact mep@ou.edu about scheduling individual tutoring.
We want our students to succeed after college. That's why OU's Career Center, in close cooperation with the Gallogly College of Engineering, is dedicated to enhancing the career development of our students. Professionally trained and diversely experienced career counselors teach career planning/job search skills and facilitate the exchange of information among students, alumni, faculty, administrators and employers.
The Career Center conducts an extensive on-campus interviewing program, hosting representatives from approximately 300 organizations each year, maintains a Web Resume Book that can be viewed by employers worldwide, and provides a menu-driven, searchable job listing program. In addition to the College of Engineering's fall Career Fair, Career Services further facilitates placement by offering annual career fairs and continuing to expand OU's internship and co-op programs.
