Engineering Pathways

An education system where engineering students from all backgrounds thrive

The Gallogly College of Engineering holds an educational vision of serving all students who share our dream of engineering a better future for our state, region, and world. Thus, Engineering Pathways was born as an organizing framework to bring cohesive, research-informed practices and an ethos of care to nurturing and supporting students along each stage of their journey to becoming engineers. Engineering Pathways provides connected engagement to all students. Components of Engineering Pathways provide entry to engineering through educational outreach with preK-12 schools and families and active recruitment of high school students; support students in their transition to college life and along whatever their engineering academic path may be; and ensure students have access to technical and professional development for success in the workplace.

Engineering Pathways (EP) has a dedicated team of faculty that work alongside the Gallogly Student Affairs Team staff to welcome incoming students to the University of Oklahoma and the Gallogly College of Engineering. The EP faculty team focuses on students as they enter their engineering student path. The EP faculty teach the first-year engineering courses, as well as serve student needs through elective opportunities, student organizations, informational events, mentoring, and so much more! Students can find their EP professors in the McCasland Family Foundation Engineering Pathways Hub, Room 222 in historic Felgar Hall!
