EIPT 3043 - FALL 2004

Technology Integration Action Plan

The development of an action plan for the integration of computers and other technologies into the classroom will anchor the investigation of problems, concerns, and issues raised and investigated by members of this class. The final product will consist of a group presentation supported by PowerPoint. Your Technology Action Plan must be supported by external sources and represent sound learning theories and practice (concepts). Projects will be evaluated in terms of content, organization, and visual effectiveness.

Scenario

Because you have some basic knowledge about computers, you have been selected along with several of your collegues to develop a Technology Integration Action Plan for your school. This plan will address the following three areas: 1. Instructional Practice and Learning Theory; 2. Teacher Computer Skill Development and Support; and 3. Technology Resources for the Classroom. (See the Conceptual Diagram.)

Getting Started

Review Chapter Two of the Roblyer text.

Various Real Technology Plans

The links below are provided for conceptual support, rather than for use as strict models (refer to the class text and discussion). Your plans are hypothetical. You will not be expected to provide as much detail as these do.
