E-mail instructor your name, your e-mail address, and your website address.
Include in this e-mail a paragraph or two that tells your instructor a little bit about you, your background, your future plans, interests, hobbies, sports, pets, whatever you would like to share. Try to include something 'unique' about you.
This small assignment is to be completed on the first day of class.
View at least 10 personal websites. This includes other students' pages here at OU as well as non-student personal webpages. It does NOT include commercial sites. The purpose behind this exercise is to look at what other people have done with their websites and determine for yourself what works and what doesn't. Be critical as you search and try to find some that are both really good and really bad so that you can compare and contrast them.
Compile a word processed list of webpage characteristics and features that you like and don't like (i.e. two columns). Be sure to include the URL's (this is the web address: http:// ...) of these sites. You will need to come to class prepared to share your list and you will be turning your list in to your instructor.
