What is the Student Success and Advising Center?

The Student Success and Advising Center is a resource for current undergraduate students majoring in the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences. The SSAC prepares students for lives of professional accomplishment, civic engagement, personal fulfillment and lifelong learning, and helps to ensure that financial and logistical barriers never stand between students and their goals. The SSAC can assist students with the following: academic advising, general questions, academic success strategies, finding campus involvement opportunities, major/internship/career exploration and planning, navigating campus resources, student advocacy, etc. Additionally, various events promoted and/or sponsored by the SSC are held throughout the academic year. The Student Success and Advising Center is located in Physcial Sciences Center, room 240. Come visit us to get help with advising and resources/opportunities.

Director of Student Success


Kaitlyn Armon has been Director of Student Success since August 2022. Kaitlyn came to the University of Oklahoma from Coastal Carolina University, and her professional background consists of Veteran Services, Admissions, Advising, and Student Success. Kaitlyn practices holistic student success, meaning, she cares about each students' personal, academic, and professional wellbeing. She is very passionate about making sure that each student she supports feels valued, heard, and respected; she genuinely enjoys supporting students in any way that she can. Kaitlyn hopes you visit her in the SSAC!

Director of Advising


Ryan Peters, Director of Academic Advising for the Dodge Family College of Arts & Sciences, has dedicated his career to empowering students to lead an intentional college experience while ensuring equitable educational opportunities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Communication and a Master’s in Human Relations degree, both from the University of Oklahoma. He began his career in Academic Advising at the University of Oklahoma in 2006 and has additionally been an instructor for several undergraduate courses since 2009. As a First-Generation College Student, he knows the value and impact of higher education and seeks to advocate for students in everything he does.

Administrative Support Specialist for the Student Success and Advising Center


Tiffany Woodfork has been with the SSC since January 2023. Tiffany is a University of Oklahoma alum. She graduated with her bachelor of arts in journalism with a focus on professional writing. In January she accepted a position as administrative support specialist within the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences. She brings to the position many years of administrative experience within health care organizations, where she developed a keen eye for detail, a penchant for being organized, efficient, and a passion for continuing education and life long learning. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys reading, singing in the choir and spending time with family and friends.
