Information Science Technology (IST) Hub Spring 2024 Updates

At the IST Hub, we celebrate diverse perspectives and embrace everyone's unique contributions. Together, we'll push the boundaries of what's possible, inspire each other to think big, and drive success through our collective efforts. We organize study nights and support each other. We also have guest speakers and career professionals to support you throughout your career path.

IST Board

President—Miley Thompson

Responsibilities: oversee the organization and assist leaders as needed, organize events, liaison between the School of LIS and IST Hub, and report to Dr. Youssef.

Vice-President—Jenny Cherian

Responsibilities: assist the president and other leaders as needed, organize events as able, provides general support to IST Hub.

Social Media Coordinator—Abidat Olaniyan 

Responsibilities: creates and manages the IST Hub Social media presence, directs advertising efforts.

 Collaboration Coordinator—Oumarou Gouba

Responsibilities: organizes and hosts collaboration events (i.e. study nights). ensures collaboration events align with the principles of IST Hub.

The IST Hub organization is still in need of student leaders to take on the role of:

Secretary/Treasurer 

Responsibilities: manage and allocate any funds IST Hub earns or is given, submits budget request, manage records and documents the activities of IST Hub in semester reports.
