The After School program offered by the OU Confucius Institute is for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. In this program students in the Norman area will have the opportunity learn Chinese, participate in engaging cultural learning activities. This program is offered five days per week, but parents may choose between two, three, or five days per week with any combination of days.
Summer Camps for Elementary School Students
The OU Confucius Institute offers a Chinese Language Summer Camp for students in the Norman Area. This camp is designed for kindergarten to sixth grade students.
The OU Confucius Institute also partners with the East Asia Institute to offer a Chinese Language Summer Camp for students in the Tulsa Area. This is for students from second to sixth grade.
Summer Camp in China for High School Students
The Chinese Proficiency Competition is a large-scale international contest sponsored by Hanban, and is well-known in the cultural and educational exchanges worldwide. It consists of 3 events: "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students, "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign High School Students and "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Students in China. The competition is held yearly, organized and carried out by the Organizing Committee.
OUCI hosts the Oklahoma preliminary round in southern U.S.A area annually.
OUCI offers Chinese classes throughout the year. OUCI has credit classes offered to university students as well as non-credit classes that are open to the general public. OU also offers many Chinese classes for OU students through the Chinese language program.
