Advising
| Academic advising is an interactive process in which the adviser helps the student set and achieve academic goals, acquire relevant information and services, and make responsible decisions consistent with interests, goals, abilities, and degree requirements. Advising appointments with a department academic advisor are mandatory for each semester prior to enrollment. Advising for upcoming course enrollment begins prior to each semester's enrollment, but students who have general questions about their program may email or make an appointment through iAdvise at any time. The English academic advisor is Kayla Ciardi.

Keep track of the schedule for the school term by reviewing current and future academic calendars. This is especially helpful as you schedule your final semesters of study as the dates for forms required by the Graduate College are determined by the academic calendar.

OU Advocates | OU Advocates is a 24/7 helpline and in-person support service for anyone in our OU community who experiences sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking and/or sexual harassment. We are a free and confidential resource on campus. Any student, staff, or faculty member in the OU community can utilize Advocate services. The University Counseling Center provides comprehensive mental health services at the University of Oklahoma within the Division of Student Affairs. The University of Oklahoma International Student Services (OU ISS) has been providing services to international students for over fifty years. We assist more than 2,000 international students and their dependents from over 130 countries. The University of Oklahoma Career Center is a one-stop shop dedicated to helping students and alumni with career preparation. From career fairs to personalized advising and everything in-between, the Career Center exists to help get you hired - Sooner.
