CART prides itself on operating year-round public transportation service in Norman. However, certain periods necessitate an Alternate Schedule or not operating at all. Since some routes are primarily utilized by OU students, CART conserves resources during instances of Alternate Schedule by operating as efficiently as possible.
Routes with different service during Regular and Alternate Schedule:
To help alleviate parking congestion on OU home football game days, shuttle service is provided from Lloyd Noble Center to a stop near the Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
The shuttles begin three hours before each game (four hours before homecoming). Shuttles from the LNC continue until one hour after the game or until the line of fans has dispersed.
Beginning September 2nd, 2023, all ADA Football shuttles will be relocated to the CL11-OU Law Center Parking Lot. Single game parking is available free of charge on a first-come first-serve basis.
In order to assure proper use of ADA accessible shuttles on gameday, the following will be required for admission to the parking lot.
CART ADA accessible shuttles will run form the CL11 OU Law Center Parking Lot to the Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium West Gates 2 & 3. Shuttles run continuously beginning three and one-half hours before kickoff and one hour after the end of the game. The rountrip fee is $5 per person. ADA shuttles are reserved for guests with disabilities, elderly, or injured patrons (and their companions riding in the same vehicle).
When snow and ice make road conditions dangerous, CART service could be affected. Tune into local television stations, visit CART on Facebook for service changes. If the university is closed, CART will be closed.
