Digital Accessibility

We are here to support you in creating and maintaining accessible educational materials and hope that the trainings, guidelines, and resources below will help. You are encouraged to reach out to the Digital Accessibility team at the ADRC, adrc@ou.edu, for any questions or training on Digital Accessibility.

Accessible Educational Materials (AEM): All educational materials, regardless of format, for your course must be created and maintained to adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA Conformance (Quick Guide Reference), Sections 508 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, aligned with the University’s Lead On Strategic Plan, and support the use of assistive technology, specifically magnification software and Text-to-Speech software (Screen Reader).
