Matt Brockwell, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Matthew D. Brockwell is The University of Oklahoma’s senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Brockwell leads all areas of Administration and Finance for all three campuses. As senior vice president and CFO, he has university-wide oversight of budgets, expenses, accounting and financial performance, and provides administrative oversight of Enterprise Risk Management, Human Resources and Information Technology.

An OU alumnus, Brockwell, has more than 35 years experience in the financial services industry, including 21 years as a partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Brockwell holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from OU and a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. He has served the Price College of Business as a member of both the Steed School of Accounting Board of Advisors and the Arthur B. Adams Society.

Responsibilities and Core Principles

Administration and Finance is responsible for leading the University’s financial planning, and providing strategic management of accounting and finance functions, record-keeping and financial reporting. Areas of oversight are Budget and Financial Planning, Bursar Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Financial Services/Controller, Human Resources, Information Technology, Payroll and Employee Services, Research Financial Services, and Shared Business Services Center.
